Cybersecurity/CALEA Workshop @ the Wireless Symposium

Cybersecurity Monday
Workshop at the 2016 Wireless Symposium

Cybersecurity experts classify businesses as those that have been hacked and know it and those that have been hacked and don’t know it yet. Last year, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released a cybersecurity framework to help businesses start a cybersecurity program or improve an existing one.

You are invited to attend an exclusive workshop entitled, “Establishing Proactive, Protective Cybersecurity Strategies and Ensuring CALEA Compliance for Rural Carriers,” (AKA CYBERSECURITY MONDAY) to find out which classification you belong. CYBERSECURITY MONDAY will take place prior to the start of the Wireless Symposium on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, FL from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. This pre-conference workshop, co-sponsored by Yaana, CyberESI, Bennet & Bennet PLLC, and Telcom Insurance Group is complimentary for registered Wireless Symposium attendees.

“Cybersecurity” is the industry’s newest buzz word – but what do cyber threats actually mean for your business? What is your exposure caused by this ever-evolving threat? How can you protect your employees, customers, and network? What products are available that meet the needs of small carriers, but won’t break the bank?

CALEA is not new to rural carriers, but is your company compliant? If presented with a warrant or subpoena, can your company deliver the necessary data to law enforcement? What sorts of cost recovery options are available to you? What data retention requirements apply?

Workshop details follow below. We hope you will join us!
