Huawei Selected for Its Innovative Products and Technical Expertise for Rural Network Systems in the U.S.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Huawei today announced it has been selected by Infiniti Broadband as their partner to deliver end-to-end LTE network solutions in underserved top major markets, medium-sized cities and rural areas. Huawei will provide complete LTE-TDD (Long-Term Evolution Time-Division Duplex) solutions including radios, network power capabilities, routers, switches and customer premises equipment (CPE) for the new networks.

Today’s announcement underscores the partnership and collaboration efforts between Huawei and Infiniti Broadband to deliver best-in-class services and solutions that will benefit residential and enterprise consumers who currently do not have access to state of the art broadband technology and enable them to achieve financial and technology growth objectives. Huawei will begin deploying its services in five selected test markets in April-May 2016, and deployments are expected to be completed by mid-year.

“Infiniti Broadband selected Huawei based on several factors. We evaluated several vendors based on innovation, support and cost. We have seen first-hand Huawei’s ability to develop and produce cutting edge technology and deliver top notch technical expertise during implementation,” said Johnie Johnson, President and CEO of Infiniti Broadband. “We know we have a solid partner in Huawei for current and future growth.”

“Huawei is a great partner for rural carriers looking to develop robust broadband networks in a scalable and cost-efficient way,” saidBill Gerski, Vice President of Wireline Sales for Huawei Technologies USA. “Huawei understands the unique needs of the tier-three telecoms market and we have been growing our partnerships in the rural telecom space, which is frequently overlooked. We are dedicated to providing the infrastructure to help Infiniti Broadband achieve its goal of providing LTE network access to rural residents.”

Huawei will be the sole networks provider for Infiniti Broadband.
