RWA Announces Transition in Leadership

Washington, D.C., December 21, 2016 – The Rural Wireless Association, Inc. announces that Tanya Sullivan has stepped down as CEO and that effective January 1, 2017, Brian Woody, RWA’s President, will assume both the role of CEO and President taking over the leadership of the organization.  RWA has also appointed Michele Giroux as Chief Administrative Officer and she will oversee the day to day management of RWA .   “Ms. Sullivan has done a stellar job as CEO of RWA and will continue to be one of our biggest supporters,” noted Woody.  “I look forward to this new chapter for RWA and working with Ms. Giroux and the rest of the RWA staff as we continue to advocate for the wireless interests of those living and working in rural America.”

Michele Giroux hails from Texas where she enjoyed spending time on her family’s farm.  She has 30 years of experience in management, administration, and marketing of organizations and complex projects.  Her positions have involved building rapport among C-level business leaders to achieve common goals in a variety of industries.

“I am honored to be part of the RWA team and look forward to carrying on the good work of the association.  RWA’s advocacy and networking opportunities will be the focus under my tenure,” she stated.
