NewCore Wireless today announced that it has purchased its SEGway Signaling Transfer Point (STP) from PT, a leading global supplier of advanced network communications.

The deployment of the SEGway signaling platform positions NewCore for migration to LTE/EPC/Diameter. The SEGway platforms, including SEGway STP and SEGway Universal Diameter Router (UDR), are designed to deliver high performance, extensible, network-based protocol (SS7, SIGTRAN and Diameter) routing solutions, through PT’s “Dynamic Routing Engine” concept. This network-proven routing technology, coupled with a common administration capability, provides robust solutions for today’s SS7 network and facilitates the evolution to Next Generation Diameter-based networks.
