Mid-Rivers Communications and Illinois Valley Cellular Select NewCore Wireless to Host LTE Networks

NewCore Wireless, the leading full-service hosted wireless switching provider, announced today that Mid-Rivers Communications, a telecommunications cooperative in Eastern and Central Montana, and Illinois Valley Cellular (IVC), a telecommunications service provider in North Central Illinois, have chosen NewCore Wireless to host their 4G/LTE networks. The business partnership allows both carriers to jumpstart the delivery of LTE services to their rural communities and subscribers.

The new partnership provides Mid-Rivers Communications and Illinois Valley Cellular with the ability to cost effectively offer wireless services through the NewCore Wireless platform with an enhanced fixed and mobile-broadband experience, offering higher data speeds and faster access to a wide range of new innovative multimedia applications. The agreement marks the beginning of new managed services contracts.

In addition to providing hosted wireless switching solutions, NewCore Wireless has worked throughout its history, as well as professional careers, to establish partnerships with leading Tier 1 carriers. Because the Tier 1 relationships NewCore Wireless brings to the table are established and strong, NewCore Wireless is able to ensure interoperability and the best support for its business partners, like Mid-Rivers Communications and IVC, and their overall goals.

“Our partnership with NewCore Wireless really positions us for the future,” said Bill Wade, General Manager of Mid-Rivers Communications. “NewCore Wireless is a trusted provider of hosted services in the Midwest Region, and we look forward to working with them. Through NewCore Wireless’ LTE hosted wireless service, we gain base-station capabilities and control without the need to invest directly into the entire wireless technology on our own.”

“Our partnership with NewCore Wireless is a win for our customers,” said Tom Walsh, Chief Executive Officer of Illinois Valley Cellular. “Being a rural service provider with a deep commitment to our community required us to find a hosted wireless switching provider with our similar commitment and values. We found NewCore Wireless’ experience and commitment to rural America to be that perfect fit. We look forward to working with them for our next-generation success.”

“NewCore Wireless is delighted to have been chosen by Mid-Rivers Communications and Illinois Valley Cellular,” said Albert Kangas, General Manger and COO of NewCore Wireless. “It is our goal at NewCore Wireless to ensure that rural communities have the same access to wireless communication services as those in larger communities. We are proud to work together with IVC and Mid-Rivers in delivering these services.”
