RTG filed an ex parte on August 1st supporting the joint proposal submitted by Wilson Electronics, Verizon Wireless and V-COMM outlining ideal parameters for the “design, operation, and, where necessary, installation of signal boosters in a manner that will better ensure protection against harmful interference.” Unlike AT&T who was demanding explicit carrier consent first be obtained before the deployment and activation of any “Consumer Boosters,” RTG is satisfied that there are sufficient safeguards built into the “safe harbor” provisions that make explicit carrier consent unnecessary.
