WASHINGTON, DC, June 3, 2014 – The Rural Wireless Association (RWA) and the Rural Independent Competitive Alliance (RICA) today announced plans to co-locate a new education and networking event for rural telecommunications providers at the ITEXPO in Las Vegas, Aug. 12-13.
“We’re excited to partner with RICA on this new event,” said RWA President Dave Dengel. “Members of both organizations will benefit from sharing strategies of what’s needed to remain a competitive player in the rural telecommunications industry. The chance for regional and local wireless and wireline carriers to explore the latest innovations in IT technology while simultaneously connecting with their industry peers is an invaluable opportunity.”
“Co-locating our new event at the ITEXPO gives RICA and RWA members a unique opportunity to both learn from each other and tap into the latest IT trends in revenue-generating opportunities such as M2M, SDN, cloud, VoIP, WebRTC and unified communications,” said RICA Chairman Jim Broemmer.
The joint RWA-RICA event will feature a half-day session followed by a reception Tuesday, Aug. 12 and a full-day session Wednesday, Aug. 13, and will be held at The Rio in Las Vegas. Paid registrations to the Rural Communications Show will include attendee access and specially priced exhibition opportunities for the ITEXPO, which will be held at The Rio, Aug. 11-14.
