RWA recently submitted an ex parte letter to the FCC that underscores the need for ongoing support for mobile wireless services in rural, high-cost areas. The filing also urges the FCC to work through some important issues before adopting final Mobility Fund Phase II rules, including:

• Evaluate Mobility Fund Phase I implementation;
• Address the unreliability of Form 477 Data;
• Determine the scope of the GSM/CDMA incompatibility issue; and
• Contemplate alternative mobility fund proposals.
