2015 Rural Wireless Summit Speaker Lineup to Include FCC Commissioner O’Rielly

RWA has secured a number of speakers for its 2015 Rural Wireless Summit. The Summit will be co-located with CTIA’s Super Mobility 2015, September 9-11 in Las Vegas. The Honorable FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly will address attendees on Friday, September 11, sharing his views on communications policy and mobility in rural America.

The Summit will also feature a number of highly respected industry veterans, focusing on various aspects of rural wireless service. Keynote speaker Tormod Larsen, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of ExteNet Systems, will kick off the educational sessions on September 10 with insights on leveraging software-defined networks (SDN). Limitless Mobile’s Group CEO, Atte Miettinen will serve as a featured speaker and discuss innovations in rural wireless delivery.

Additional program highlights include a discussion on wireless handsets with Russ Lipinsky, President and Executive Director of the Associated Carrier Group, and an update on the upcoming 600 MHz Broadcaster Incentive Auction from RWA’s General Counsel, Carri Bennet. Attendees can also look forward to a panel discussion on E-Rate opportunities for wireless carriers featuring Jeff Kohler, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Rise Broadband, among others.

Along with the Summit, RWA will also host the Rural Wireless Pavilion and Lounge on the Super Mobility trade show floor. The Pavilion and Lounge will serve as an excellent destination for everyone to learn more about mobility in rural areas. The Summit’s two networking receptions will be held in the Pavilion.
