The Rural Telecommunications Group (RTG) applauds President Barack Obama for appointing Commissioner Mignon L. Clyburn to Acting Chair of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) upon departure of the current Chairman, Julius Genachowski, and congratulates Commissioner Clyburn on her interim leadership position.  For the last four years, Commissioner Clyburn has been an instrumental force within the Commission advocating for the delivery of broadband to all Americans, especially those living, working and traveling in rural America.  RTG remains grateful for her steadfast leadership at the FCC and for constantly working to keep the country connected.  RTG and its members look forward to working with Acting Chairwoman Clyburn and her knowledgeable staff during the upcoming transition period and for many more years to come.
