RTG – The Rural Wireless Advocate, announces the appointment of Andrew Silberstein, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Globecomm Network Services to the RTG Board of Directors.
“I am pleased that Mr. Silberstein will be taking a leadership role within the association,” said Dave Dengel, CEO of Copper Valley Wireless in Alaska and President of RTG. “We are experiencing tremendous member growth and will benefit from his background and experiences working with rural carriers while at Globecomm.”
A 30-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, Mr. Silberstein currently leads the networks services business segment for Globecomm Systems Inc. and has taken on a leadership role in the company’s operations, planning, and execution of strategic business development, as well as sales and management of ongoing services. Globecomm is focused on providing communication solutions in the Government and Commercial Markets including Martime, Wireless, Enterprise and Media. Most recently, Andy has been responsible for building the company’s hosted wireless business, helping U.S. rural mobile operators grow their markets for evolving 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies.
