The FCC has released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on proposed privacy rules for broadband providers. The NPRM is extremely detailed and, if adopted, would place significant regulatory burdens on broadband providers. RWA filed reply comments that underscore the need for exemptions and/or a 24-month compliance deadline extension for small broadband Internet access service providers.
