RTG, along with CTIA and NTCA, filed joint reply comments in response to the FCC’s NPRM seeking comment on a proposed revision of the licensing model for the Cellular Radiotelephone Service from a site-based model to a geographic-based approach. The associations strongly support the CTIA compromise proposal as striking the appropriate balance between simplifying cellular licensing, preserving incumbent licensee rights, and serving the public interest.
