RWA Members Talk Public Safety, VoLTE Roaming at Mobile World Congress Americas

Washington, D.C., – The following statement may be attributed to Carri Bennet, Rural Wireless Association, General Counsel:

RWA members kicked off MWCA by meeting with industry colleagues from AT&T and Verizon in the Rural Wireless Networking Lounge. VoLTE roaming is top of mind for our carrier members. We are pleased to hear that AT&T is ready to work on VoLTE roaming agreements with rural carriers now that the 911 3GPP standards have been addressed. Public safety is another top agenda item for rural carriers. We’re looking forward to continued conversations with Verizon regarding their public safety network plans.
